Children & Family Support (CFS) Practitioner, 21hrs per week

The post holder will be required to respond to referrals received from families, professionals and colleagues in the voluntary sector to assess need and to deliver therapeutic support to children, young people and their families when affected by cancer. Referrals can be for children diagnosed with cancer; but mostly referrals are for support for the other family members when someone important to them is affected by the illness or has died.

We would like to hear from you if you have a professional qualification in social work, teaching, nursing or a related discipline. Experience of working with children and families is essential as well as group work and partnership working experience. Child protection, loss and bereavement and Seasons for Growth training are desirable as well as practical support and an interest in working with teenagers.
