CLAN puts nutrition and healthy eating on the menu in Stonehaven

A registered nutritional therapist, Cathy Clark, will present an ‘Eating for Wellness’ event in Stonehaven later this month.

Hosted by CLAN Cancer Support the presentation is on Thursday, June 26, from 7pm at the Invercarron Resource Centre on Low Wood Road.

The event will focus on why diet and nutrition are important for cancer patients and how to incorporate simple and practical suggestions into one’s daily routine. There will also be an opportunity to discuss and demonstrate “nutritional upgrades” that aim to support nutritional balance and healthy eating as a lifestyle choice.

Gemma Powell, CLAN Cancer Support’s area service co-ordinator,said: “The focus of the event will be on healthy eating, not only as a lifestyle choice but also on its potential to help support recovery and wellbeing.

“We’re delighted to be able to welcome Cathy to Stonehaven and to tap into her professional knowledge. It promises to be a very engaging session and is open to anyone affected by cancer.”
