Antiques go under the hammer for CLAN Cancer Support

A range of antiques are to go under the hammer as part of a north-east cancer support charity’s annual fundraising event.

CLAN Cancer Support’s popular auction will be held on Friday, May 31, from 6.15pm to 9.15pm at the charity’s CLAN House on Westburn Road for the first time. Interested bidders are being invited to view the lots prior to the event on Thursday, May 30 from 2pm to 6pm at the same venue.

Among the items up for grabs is a range of Hornby Railway memorabilia, a dappled wooden rocking horse, a Chappell 1930s London baby grand piano and a euphonium to name but a few. A selection of curios including glass, furniture, silver, vintage items, art and music will also be available to bid on.

Lorna Gates, shop manager with CLAN, said: “Our auctions in the past have always been incredibly well supported, with the quality and range of items on show providing a strong appeal to attendees.

“The lots will see a range of unique and interesting items up for sale, with a number of these being sourced from our charity shops that can be found across Aberdeen.

“The event also gives bidders the chance to enjoy a great night out all whilst helping contribute to CLAN in what is its 30th anniversary year.”

Tickets for the live auction can be purchased in advance from any of CLAN’s charity shops and from CLAN House for £5. Refreshments will be available on the night.
