In 2008 CLAN made a commitment to those living in Shetland that we would look at providing cancer support services locally.  A local steering group is guiding and helping CLAN achieve our aims locally ensuring that we work together with the community for the benefit of those affected by cancer.

We have established a local support group and are facilitating regular drop-in sessions - see below for further information.

Support Group Meetings
Our support group meetings offer friendship and support to anyone living with cancer, their family members, carers and close friends.  There is usually a guest speaker and there is always plenty time to meet with and chat to others.

All meetings are held in the Freefield Centre, Lerwick from 7pm.  Dates - Monday 7 June,
Tuesday 6 July and Tuesday 3 August.

Drop-In for Information and Support
Our weekly drop-in sessions offer an opportunity for one-to-one support and access to information about cancer related issues.   Our drop-in is open to anyone living with cancer, their family members, carers and close friends.

Drop-in to Market House, Lerwick anytime between 1.30 pm - 3 pm on Thursday 3 June, Wednesday 9 June, Thursday 17 June or Friday 25 June.
